Bowman to make Polar Heat Exchangers

Following the closure of Polar Engineering EJ Bowman have bought the majority of Polar Engineering’s pattern equipment together with the manufacturing rights.

Bowman will therefore be adding some of Polar’s designs to their product range. However in the case where Bowman and Polar have made equipment for the same engine type Bowman will only offer their own units.

Bowman are now producing heat exchangers and manifolds for the following engines that were previously made by Polar:

Isuzu 4JB – 2.77 4 cylinder
The Polar part number for the combined manifold/heat exchanger/header tank for this engine was 4JB1
The Bowman part number is IS277-5001
A keel cooled unit is also available for this engine, part number IS277-5001KC

Perkins 3.152 engine
The Polar part number for the combined manifold/heat exchanger/header tank for this engine was PE2500
The Bowman part number is PE3152-5002
A keel cooled unit is also available for this engine, part number PE3152-5002KC

Perkins 404C-22 (previously Perkins 104-22)
The Polar part number for the combined manifold/heat exchanger/header tank for this engine was ISM6.
The Bowman part number is PE122-5009

Perkins 403C-15 (previously Perkins 103-15)
The Polar part number for the combined manifold/heat exchanger/header tank
for this engine was ISM7.
The Bowman part number is PE150-5007.

Please contact Bowman for details of price and availability for the above parts. Bowman may be producing some more heat exchangers formerly made by Polar in the future.
